Dear Students,
1. Tuesday, April 9, is the deadline for submitting a typed page with the following content:
The title, abstract (100 words, maximum), and keywords, with your name, affiliation, and e-mail address,
and acknowledgement that this is:
- The Final Paper in the course Math 728: Statistical Theory,
- Spring 2013,
- Instructor: Professor Bozenna Pasik-Duncan.
2. Instructions for the final paper:
- Choose your favorite subject that was either covered in class or is listed on the Partial List of Topics. In other words, the subject must be selected from the course textbook so that the focus of the paper lies within the scope of Math 728.
- The paper cannot not be taken from another course or another project (meaning that you cannot receive a double credit for this work).
- Define the concept well.
- Provide interpretation indicating your good understanding of the presented concept.
- Provide at least 2 illustrative examples with well-written solutions containing all steps in full detail.
- Write conclusions.
- Provide references with information on how they were used.
- If applicable, provide Acknowledgements.
- Format: the paper should be typed (although mathematical symbols are allowed to be hand-written), double-spaced, and approximately 5 pages in length (plus/minus 2 pages).
