Message from Professor Bozenna Pasik-Duncan: 5/1/13
Dear Students,
All except the final paper course requirements have been already met.
The following are a few comments about the Final Paper:
1. The deadline for submitting the Final Paper is Tuesday, May 14th at 1:00 pm (the end of the officially scheduled Final Exam for Math 728)
2. Your Final Paper is expected to have 5 pages and it cannot exceed 7 double-spaced pages and needs to be well-presented, meaning that it will be written thoughtfully, logically and clearly, with no typos, spelling, and grammar mistakes in it. It needs to contain: title, your name, affiliation, contact, abstract, keywords, acknowledgement that it is for Math 728' Spring 2013 with Instructor: Professor Bozenna Pasik-Duncan, introduction, main results (body): well-described concept(s) with illustrative example(s)/interpretation(s), conclusions/summary, acknowledgements (optional, when applicable), references.
3. Submitting your expected 5 min presentation (at most 5 slides) is optional and not required.
No classes are scheduled for the next week. The time is given in return for the time spent on the take-home Exam II as well as for preparation of the Final Paper.
I hope that you will enjoy writing well on your favorite subject in the Statistical Theory.
Thank you for the wonderful semester. I hope to see you in the Math 750: Stochastic Adaptive Control, the course that I developed based on my research.
With my very best wishes to you for the best examination session and the most enjoyable summer,
Bozenna Pasik-Duncan
