Giuseppe Notarstefano

Education Liaison for IFAC TC 2.3. Non-Linear Control Systems

Bio. Giuseppe Notarstefano received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronics engineering from the Università di Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in automation and operation research from the Università di Padova, Padua, Italy, in April 2007. He has been an Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) at the Università del Salento, Lecce, Italy, since February 2007. He has been Visiting Scholar at the University of Stuttgart (February 2013 and October 2009), at the University of California Santa Barbara (April 2009 and March–September 2005) and at the University of Colorado Boulder (April–May 2006). He coordinated the VI-RTUS team winning the International Student Competition Virtual Formula 2012. He serves as an Associate Editor in the Conference Editorial Board of the IEEE Control Systems Society and for the European Control Conference, IFAC World Congress and IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control. His research interests include distributed optimization, motion coordination in multi-agent networks, applied nonlinear optimal control, and modeling, trajectory optimization, and aggressive maneuvering of aerial and car vehicles.
