Bio. Bernard Riera is a full Professor in Automatic Control at Reims Champagne-Ardenne University in France and his research fields concern Discrete Event Systems, safe controller, PLC programing, SCADA systems and Human-Machine Systems. He has promoted Education as an interesting field of applications for Human-Machine Systems (IFAC TC 4-5) for 10 years. In his lab (CReSTIC), they have worked for more than 6 years with a company called Real Games and have developed real time simulations based on video games technology to train people about automation. Hence they have designed a virtual house (HOME I/O) and virtual production systems (ITS PLC, FACTORY I/O). All these systems can be connected to soft or real devices like PLC.
