Math 121, Fall 2013
Engineering Calculus I
MATH 121 covers differentiation and integration of algebraic and trigonometric functions, with applications to physical sciences and engineering. The course will be comprised of a series of "mini-units" focusing on fundamental calculus topics. Each mini-unit will involve a motivating exploration of one or more relevant, real-world problems, followed by a sequential development of the mathematical tools needed to solve them. Once this computational and theoretical framework is in place, the original problems will be revisited and related problems will be considered.
Important Information About Common Exams!
- There will be three common exams for all 14 sections of the course:
- Exam 1, worth 20% of the final grade, is on Tuesday, 10/8, from 5:45 - 7:45 p.m.
